HIPped Yttria Tetragonal Zirconia Polycrystal (YTZP) is often used for demanding applications that require tight tolerances and excellent wear resistance. This strong, hard material also features a near-flawless microstructure.
Compared with other materials, Yttria Zirconia Ceramics provide corrosion and abrasion resistance, outstanding toughness, and excellent strength. Belvac uses a proprietary, advanced powder formula made in-house and manufactures all YTZP Ceramic blanks, resulting in higher-quality products and shorter lead times for customers. Belvac Necking Dies and knock-outs also go through a custom “Whitening” process to allow for quick, easy visual inspection in the Can Plant.
