What equipment does the Pilot Line Quality Analysis Lab use?

The Quality Analysis Lab uses specialized testing gauges to ensure structural integrity and coating quality, including:

  • Buckle Gauge: Measures the internal pressure needed to reverse the dome and monitors height growth under pressure.
  • Front End Gauge: Measures un-necked, trimmed can height, side wall thickness, and dome depth.
  • Axial Load Gauge: Tests the maximum vertical force a container can withstand before collapsing.
  • Back End Gauge: Takes non-contact dimensional measurements of finished cans and base reforming parameters.
  • Metal Exposure Rater & Coating Thickness Gauge: Checks internal/external lacquer thickness and verifies coating integrity via conductivity testing.
